Futheron, in 2007 he co-founded what would be the first Wi-Fi ISP in Cape Verde and the first company to break a 21 years local telecom monopoly. Five years later, Miguel accepted the invitation from Ezelink Telecom to revolutionize the company strategy in the Intelligent Hotspot, IoT and Smart City solutions as Director of Technology. During his tenure at Ezelink Telecom, the company launched several innovative unique products that did not go unnoticed and made Ezelink one of the references for Wi-Fi and Smart City solutions in the region.

During his tenure as a consultant, Khang established a process for privatizing public sector services and also privatized the operations of a statutory board’s operations.

Before Khang became an entrepreneur, he was Vice President, Global Markets in the Treasury Department of Bankers Trust and Senior Vice President, Global Markets at the Treasury Department Sanwa Bank. During his tenure in Bankers Trust, Khang developed the first fully automated technical trading system in this part of the world. In 2012, he founded “Tonkla Doi Luang Station”, the center of coffee sprouts, to cultivate the sprouts of 3,000,000 Arabica coffee beans in which most of the sprouts were planted in both of the farms and some were sold to interested farmers.

In addition, Peera founded Mountain Arabica Coffee(MAC) Co.,Ltd. in order to study the Arabica coffee market in Thailand and opened the Doi Mek Coffee Shop in Chiang Mai in 2012. Later on, he opened two more kiosk coffee shops called “SOD Coffee Shop” in Chiang Dao District for a market trial.

In 2016, he also founded PANA Coffee Co.,Ltd. to prepare for the complete coffee processing business. Peera started his coffee business with the focus on sustainable agriculture, organic farming system and coffee education by developing coffee value chain in collaboration with coffee farmers and consumers from growing, processing, roasting, cupping to marketing in which the full-service coffee processing house so-called ‘The Coffeenery’ will be constructed on the area of 60 acres in Luang Nua Subdistrict, Doi Saked Province, Chiang Mai by the end of 2016.

Mr. Rahman has served in many important national and international bodies in various capacities. He was in-charge of the Training Division of the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) from April 1975 to January 1980 and conducted training programme on agriculture, industry and transport projects analysis courses for the bankers and corporate houses in Bangladesh and abroad jointly with Washington based Economic Development Institute (EDI) of the World Bank. During 1998-2003, he worked with the Bangladesh Silk Foundation, a World Bank funded project, as General Manager and Managing Director.

To facilitate promotion of trade and investment in Bangladesh, Mr. Rahman has organized and participated in a number of international events both in Bangladesh and abroad. He has arranged participation of business delegation in various international meetings organized by UNESCAP, WTO and ICC in different countries as well as visit by business delegation to a number of countries including China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam.

He has also been based in Singapore and Washington, DC, working on public policy issues. He started his career at Credit Suisse in the Economic Research department, where he was a Senior Economist.

Manuel Rybach holds a doctorate degree from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), where he also earned an M.A. in economics, law, and political science (lic.rer.publ. HSG). He was a Swiss National Science Foundation scholarship recipient and a visiting scholar at both Columbia University Law School and Georgetown University Law Center. He also completed an Executive Program at the Harvard Kennedy School and studied at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). He is a Lecturer at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Pat had previously worked in the textile trade as a Director of Central Textiles (Central). During his 9 years at Central he was active in the field of sustainable development and supply chain transparency. Central was the first textile company in Asia to issue a Sustainability Report under the Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) Guidelines in 2008. The report subsequently received an award from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). In addition, Central won the Gold Award for the Hang Seng Pearl River Delta Environmental Award in 2012 and the Hong Kong Award for Environmental Excellence – Manufacturing Sector in 2013. For his contribution to the textile industry with regards to sustainability, Pat received the Young Industrialist of the Year award from the Federation of Hong Kong Industries in 2009.

Pat was previously the founder and Chairman of the Sustainable Fashion Business Consortium (SFBC), where he continues to serve on the Executive Committee. He is also on the Environmental & Energy Committee at the British Chamber of Commerce and also remains connected with the Textile and Apparel trade through many other organizations.

Mr.Bao Yu has near 15 years experience in research and investment management.

In 2008, he founded the Green China Lab an independent innovation and investment trend research center funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China 's International Cooperation Program and the first Chinese member of ENoLL (European network of Living Labs).

In his leadership role at Green China Lab he has implemented numbers of pioneer projects cooperating with leading Chinese and overseas institutions such as Tianjin University, China Social Entrepreneur Foundation, the Climate Group and the CLEEN Ltd (Cluster for Energy and Environment of Finland).

Mr.Bao Yu began his career in the ICT industry in China where he was once the Director of a Research Lab of ZTE Corporation and Board Director of several High-Tech companies found by ZTE and other investors.

Mr.Bao graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University with an Engineering degree. He also has an MBA degree in Finance (with Dean's List honor) from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.

Dr. William Yu is Chief Executive Officer of World Green Organisation (WGO). Dr. Yu is an energy economist and climate professional by training and completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge as well as earned an Executive MBA degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in the U.S.
Additionally, Dr. Yu has gained valuable regional management experience by working at US multinationals. He is currently the Adjunct Professor of the City University of Hong Kong, Adjunct Associate Professor, The School of Management and Economics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and the Honorary Corporate Adjunct Professor of the Shanghai University.

Currently, Dr. Yu sits on the Energy Advisory Committee and the sub-committee on Food Reduction Good Practices in Institutions and Commercial and Industrial Establishments, Food Wise Hong Kong Campaign under the Environmental Bureau, Hong Kong SAR government. He is also a member in the working group of Sustainability Charter, Hong Kong and Malmo, Sweden . Dr. Yu is a member of the expert panel on Industry Standards and Research under The Hong Kong Green Building Council. He belongs to the Project Management Committee to oversee the CarbonSmart Program in collaboration with four key Chambers of Commerce supported by Environment & Conservation Fund. Dr. Yu has served as Board of Director of Hong Kong Institute of Social Impact Analyst.

Dr. Yu writes articles for multiple newspapers on the low carbon economy, low carbon city, social innovation and energy poverty. He was a co-host for an environmental program on numerous TV and Radio Channels.

James Zhang

Dr. James Zhang is a co-founder and Partner at Formation 8, a $450 million Silicon Valley based venture capital fund implementing a cross border strategy of technology investment in the US and business development in Asia.

Before co-founding Formation 8, James was a Managing Director of Australian Government's Renewable Energy Venture Capital (REVC) Fund, a $200 million fund dedicated to renewable energy. He was also Venture Partner at Softbank China Venture Capital, one of the most successful VCs in China with $2 billion under management.

As an Entrepreneur in Residence at Khosla Ventures (with $3 billion under management), James co-founded BioDiscovery, a modern agriculture company. He also led Khosla Ventures’ China initiative. Before becoming a VC, James began his career as the founding scientist at Mendel Biotechnology and led its business development.

As a China native, James attended the University of Science and Technology of China. He has a PhD in Genetics from the University of California Davis and has completed his post-doctoral and business training at Stanford University and Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a recipient of the Outstanding Young Scholar Award by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).

As the founding partner, Xiaochen brings more than 15 years of global experience and thought leadership to the New Development Ventures. He also serves on the Board of Directors of American Crowdfunding Professional Association, as a green finance advisor of the Inter-American Development Bank and the Asia Small and Medium Enterprises Financing Network. He leads the design and implementation of NDV’s global strategy, which drives global innovation through a number of innovative collaborative initiatives such as a Impact Investment Leadership Council, a clean tech lab, a VR infrastructure lab, a sharing economy lab, and an insurance blockchain lab.

Before NDV, Xiaochen advised government agencies and multinational organizations on innovative finance, green technology, climate policy, and sustainable energy in positions at the World Bank, United Nations, and other international partnership platforms. Xiaochen has extensive experience in the incubation and scale-up of result-based solutions and innovative financing mechanisms for the public and private sectors globally. He is a recognized speaker on investment planning, climate finance, green innovation, and crowdfunding. He holds an M.A. in Global Studies from Leipzig University.
