New EBAC Member

We are pleased to welcome Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, President and CEO of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited. Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi was appointed President and CEO of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited in January 2008. In 2011, he assumed the Executive Chairman of Oishi Group Public Company Limited, where he previously served as Vice Chairman of Oishi Group of Companies from 2006. In October 2011, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Sermsuk Public Company Limited. Also, he was appointed Director of Fraser and Neave, Limited in February, 2013.

New Associate Member to the Task Force on Banking and Finance

We are also pleased to welcome Mr. Peter Leung, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (ICBC), which is one of the world’s largest commercial banks. Mr. Leung is an associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a fellow member of both the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry.

New Associate Member to the Task Force on Regional Integration and Connectivity

We are very pleased to also welcome Mr. Joao Miguel dos Reis Tito Lopes, Senior Business Development Manager of Swiss Bureau Projects Supply, which is one of the main players for Wi-Fi hotspots in the MENA region. In 2002, Mr. Lopes founded his first start-up company called N-Gate which developed ICT solutions for small and medium companies in the northern area of Portugal. Soon after, in 2005, N-Gate opened their first offices in Cape Verde Africa, which became a reference in the country’s ICT solutions arena. Mr. Lopes is also co-founded Cabocom, the first Wi-Fi ISP provider in Cape Verde which became the fastest mobile Internet provider between 2010 and 2012 and the third largest private network in Cape Verde. Currently he leads projects for Swiss Bureau in the area of Wi-Fi related technologies, whilst remaining in the position as shareholder and member of Cabocom’s Board of Administrators.
